Idaho Hispanic Political Education Committee Isn’t Endorsing Jose Sanchez for Twin Falls County Clerk. We Are.

Vota Idaho claims they exist to “foster LatinX communication to ensure our voices are heard and represented” and that they are “committed to representing Hispanic voices.”

Great.

So why are they endorsing career politician Christina Glascock for Twin Falls County Clerk, a position she has held for 20+ years, and is white, when Jose Sanchez absolutely meets their criteria in a candidate? Oh, and is Hispanic.

Hmmm.

Well. You only have to look below at Vota Idaho’s line up of endorsements to see why Jose Sanchez was passed over by a white chick. Sanchez is Hispanic. Good. Sanchez is a true conservative. Bad. For Vota Idaho, that puts him in the extremist anti-immigration camp. Can’t have that.

So, little wonder that Vota Idaho would also endorse establishment-friendly ‘common sense’ candidates running against proven conservative incumbents: Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld, Rep. Clint Hostetler, Sen. Josh Kohl, Rep. David Leavitt. You can read about them in our Voter Guide.

Why we endorse Jose Sanchez:

Election Integrity:  Pro-hand counting. We need to return trust and integrity to our electoral system.

Accountability: Elected officials need to be accountable to the people for decisions and spending.

Transparency: Citizens need clarity and accessibility from our elected officials regarding issues and decisions.

Fiscal Responsibility: Spending, taxes, and entitlements need to be curbed.

Change: My opponent has been in office for over 20 years. We need a new vision.

Nor does Vota Idaho care for these true conservatives:
