Announcing the 2026 November Ballot Initiatives
Heads up, Magic Valley. Idahoans will very likely be voting in November 2026 on whether to end (once and for all) the 6% grocery sales tax, legalize recreational cannabis, and legalize a ‘woman’s right’ to abortion — right up to nine months of pregnancy.
I’ll get right to the point on where MVLA PAC stands.
YES on repealing Idaho’s dumb and immoral grocery sales tax.
NO on legalizing cannabis.
NO on legalizing abortion.
As you may recall, MVLA recently announced plans to launch a petition drive in the Magic Valley to get it on the November ballot for the 2026 general election. Read here to learn more about the drive.

Opposing abortion in Idaho is a no-brainer for us pro-lifers.
I’m including here weblinks below of the organizations spearheading the initiatives. I strongly suggest you read the petitions for yourselves.
Repeal Idaho Grocery Tax is a grassroots effort to repeal the 6% grocery sales tax. You can read the petition and sign up to be a petition carrier. MVLA will be launching a local in-person petition drive to ensure petitions are completed to-the-letter, so they do not get tossed out by county clerks.
Kind Idaho is an advocacy group to decriminalize cannabis use and possession for persons 21 or older. ‘Stories’ page focuses on the medical benefits of cannabis, but the petition aims to decriminalize all use.
Idahoans United for Women & Families ‘Reproductive Freedom & Privacy Act’ promises to ‘end the ban’ on ‘reproductive health care choices’ and more. Its mission is to restore access to ‘comprehensive reproductive healthcare. By their own definition, abortion is healthcare.
