Tuesday’s election was a very bad day at the polls for Republicans. The victory of Marxist Islamist Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor was symbolically the most important event but notice that socialists swept elections across the country in a second Trump term. Conservative Lynn Bradescu lost the Boise City Council race to moderate incumbent Jimmy Hallyburton.
Some say Mamdani’s victory is nothing short of a Marxist-Islamic takeover of Manhattan. That he did so by focusing on kitchen table issues, like the economy and on affordability issues important to today’s voters.
Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican candidate for Ohio governor, laid out the two most important lessons for Republicans to take from Tuesday’s beating:
But dig beyond economic concerns and you come to undeniable demographic realities. And as we all know in an age of runaway mass migration that has turned Europe into a tinderbox of clashing civilizations, demographics, not candidates, determines elections, and why New Yorkers who witnessed Muslims plow airliners into the World Trade Towers would 23 years later elect a Marist Muslim mayor.
As political commentator Roger Stone noted:
Mamdani’s win can be attributed to two factors. The first being a change in demographics. Roughly a third of New York City citizens are white, less than one quarter of them are Roman Catholics, there has been an implosion in both the Hispanic population as well as the Muslim population (NYC is home to 300 mosques, with the largest population of Muslims, 750,000). The Republican Party registration in the city is down to 10%. Many of the more conservative middle-class voters, because of crime the tax issues, have moved elsewhere. There’s been both an influx of illegals and an exodus of middle-class and upper middle class white voters.
Second, Mamdani is really not what you have been told he is. He’s been presented as a grassroots phenomenon of all these progressive activists rising up to challenge special interest money. When if you look at it closely what you’ll see is that his campaign was financed by an interlocking 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) and NGO’s — most of them financed with foreign money, some of it by billionaire Alex Soros money.

Magic Valley voters should not dismiss the Red-Green Alliance as phenomenon confined to ultra-liberal NYC or big blue cities. On the contrary, the Red-Green movement is spreading across America. In their own words, Marxists and Islamists have teamed up to wage a “Death to America” war on by winning elections, with the mutual aim of taking down and taking over our civilization.

The masks are off. With a Mamdani victory, the Democrat Party has formally and publicly enshrined the Marxist-Islamist alliance as a central plank of their platform.
For Idahoans, the battle lines are drawn, not so much between two political parties, but between and Islamic/Communist state and liberty. I contend the battle before us is so much deeper and bigger than about winning elections, as important as being engaged in our political process is. That’s because, at its core, their radical ideological march to replace our constitutional republic with a socialist technocracy under the whip of Islamic law, is a diabolical spiritual war on our civilization. Indeed, it’s already hit Europe.
The days of comfy Christianity are over. Faith without action is a form of surrender. We cannot just pray our way out of this. The days of spectator citizenship are over. Leaving it to lawmakers or the president is a one-way ticket to serfdom.
Let’s counter the Red-Green Alliance with a Red-White-Blue Alliance of true Americans.
